Finland has long been a country known for bands with an incredible instrumental rock sound. The Youngers are part of this group - they have a sound loved not only by their fans, but critics as well (they were named Finnish Instrumental Rock Champions of 2012). The disc gets off to a mellow start with “Intro”, but that sense of calm soon fades as they rip into “The Pacific” - 2:57 of gnarly, twangy guitar backed by a driving, ska-like rhythm. So awesome! The cool thing is, there are 12 more tunes of equal quality that follow, all originals. Other highlights include “Lucky Number Thirteen”, “Kymenlaakso Twist”, “Long Gone Wrong”, and “Molotov Cocktail”. Fans of bands like Laika & The Cosmonauts, The Shadows and The Madeira will love this disc!
