The Mortals - Electric Eye Vinyl LP (ROI) 

This much beloved Cincinnati, Ohio garage rock band are back with what they’re calling their last album ever. If this is truly how they go out, it’s not a bad way to do it as it contains some of their best songs to date (and that’s coming from someone who is a huge fan of their Estrus stuff from the 90’s). Crunchy, wailing guitars propel these songs at a blistering pace, with the drums and bass providing some low-end rhythmic energy. Only 100 were made so you’ll have to act fast, but they’re pressed on green vinyl, housed in a Chantry inspired sleeve, and it contains a vinyl-only bonus track that’s perhaps the best song on the album (“Lexington Smash”).
