The Hula Girls - Tabou / Zombie Stomp 7” (Hi-Tide) 

While this California combo describe themselves as “hulabilly”, this two-song 7” shows off two different sides to the band. “Tabou” is a slinky, exotica tune that just shimmers with island vibes and the smell of rum, while “Zombie Stomp” on the flip is an upbeat stomper with crunchy guitars and an irresistible rhythm. The band is led by Shorty Poole, who is also in the amazing combo Shorty's Swingin' Coconuts. It’s been pressed on amazing leopard colored vinyl as well - an absolute must-have!
