Los Abismos - That Surf Thing CD (Otitis Media) 

Despite the Spanish/Mexican sounding name, this is actually a Belgian 3-piece combo with a drummer, bassist, and a third member that plays guitar and organ. They have a modern, soulful go-go sound on most of the cuts, with clean production allowing the listener to clearly hear each instrument. The lead guitar has a great tone that has drippy reverb on some tunes, with grinding fuzz on others. The songs are energetic and danceable, with tunes that’ll satisfy just about any modern surf fan.
